'I'm Not There'
Isabel Hilton is joined by music writer Robert Sandall and poet Lavinia Greenlaw to discuss the new Bob Dylan bio-pic from director Tod Haynes.

'I'm not there' stars six different actors as incarnations of Dylan, including Cate Blanchett and Christian Bale.

Engines of the Imagination

Jonathan Sawday talks to Isabel about his new book 'Engines of the Imagination'.

He argues that our attitudes to machines and technology were formed as much in the Renaissance, through Shakespeare and Francis Bacon, as during the Industrial Revolution.

Jerry Falwell
In the last of Nightwaves' series looking at the cultural legacies of figures who have died this year, Isabel Hilton assesses the lasting influence of evangelical preacher Jerry Falwell on American politics.

Isabel is joined by Chip Berlet, senior analyst at Political Research Associates in Boston, and Damian Thompson, editor in chief of The Catholic Herald, to discuss Falwell's role in the development of the Christian right wing in America.

Indian Cinema
And writer and broadcaster Hardeep Singh Koli talks to Isabel about the growing independent cinema scene in Mumbai, and whether Indian art cinema is ruffling feathers in the film establishment.
