Fareed Zakaria
On Night Waves, the editor of Newsweek International, Fareed Zakaria will be talking to Isabel Hilton about his new book, 'The Post American World' in which he explores how the world will look when the USA no longer dominates the global economy. He'll be explaining how the world we're entering will resemble Bollywood, thoroughly modern but retaining crucial elements of local culture.

60th Anniversary of the NHS
As the National Health Service celebrates its 60th anniversary, a look at the changing relationship between doctor and patient. As patients arrive in surgeries armed with information - and, in some cases, access to their own medical records - is this rise in patient power a good thing which allows people to take more control over their own lives? Or is there an argument against this new partnership approach which harks back to an earlier relationship between patients and the medical profession?

Banged Up
Also in the programme, Isabel will also be looking at 'Banged Up' on Five. David Blunkett presents a new television series which explores juvenile behaviour and the prison service. Ten young boys who have already been in trouble with the police are given the chance to experience what life in prison would be like if they continued to offend and received a custodial sentence. Dame Liz Forgan joins Isabel to discuss the issues thrown up by televising this social experiment.
