Zu and Nobukazu Takemura: Imbou (15.59)
This track is due to appear in the new year on the Zu and Nobukazu Takemura album; imbou is a Japanese word meaning 'conspiracy'.
The trio Zu formed in Rome in Italy around 1999/2000. They have recently been touring and working on an album with the Japanese guitarist/producer/composer/electronic musician Nobukazu Takemura.

Vinicius Cantuaria: The Bridge (3.55)
Vinicius Cantuaria was born in Brazil in 1951. He was a member of the rock group O Terco during the 1970s, then joined Caetano Veloso's backing band, before moving from Rio to New York in 1995. He has also collaborated with Laurie Anderson, David Byrne, Brian Eno, Bill Frisell and Arto Lindsay. On this album he is joined by trumpeter Michael Leonhart, the Bessler String Quartet from Brazil, and Brazilian percussionists Sidinho and Chacal.

Adriana Sá is a composer and multi-media artist based in Lisbon, Portugal.
Adriana Sá will be appearing on Monday 28 November at the Spitz in London in a bill which also features Tonne with Américo Rodrigues, Simon Fisher Turner with Vitor Joaquim and Liz, Aki Onda and Hugo Barbosa. The gig is part of the current Atlantic Waves Festival in London featuring 'exploratory music from Portugal'.

Yoni Wolf, aka Why? was one of the trio cLOUDDEAD, but has now applied his interrogative alias to a four piece band featuring himself on vocals, keyboards, guitar, bass, harmonica and drums, Doug McDiarmid on piano, guitar and sampler, Josiah Wolf on drums and Matt Meldon on guitar. This track also features Dave Kosler on violin and John Ringhoffer on trombones.

Jeffrey and Jack Lewis: Don't Be Upset (2.50)
This is the first album to be credited to songwriter/comic book artist Jeffrey Lewis (guitar/vocals) and his younger brother Jack Lewis (bass). The track also features Peter Stampfel (Holy Modal Rounders/Du-Tels) on fiddle.

Garage A Trois: Outre mer (4.44)
Garage A Trois is the New Orleans-based quartet of Charlie Hunter (guitar), Mike Dillon (vibes/percussion), Stanton Moore (drums) and Skerik (saxes). They were invited in 2004 by French film director Klaus Tontine to write music for a film that was still an idea at that point. The film, Outre Mer, telling the tale of a young man in rural France who is ostracised owing to his diminutive stature, has now been finished, but legal issues are currently barring its general release.

Lightning Bolt: 2 morro morro land (3.40)
Lightning Bolt is the Providence, Rhode Island-based duo of Brian Chippendale (drums) and Brian Gibson (bass). They are renowned for their guerrilla-tactic gigs, preferring to perform in the audience rather than on the stage. At one gig they performed in a kitchen, and when the police came to stop the show, Brian Chippendale crawled into the fridge to cool himself down.
