Jay Haze: Down and Out (3.36)
Jay Haze grew up in Pennsylvania, and then moved to San Francisco, where he was homeless for a time. With just a small suitcase, he relocated to Europe, making Amsterdam his home. However, it was when he moved to Berlin that his music really began to take off. He also runs the labels Contextterrior, Textone, Tuning Spork and Future Dub.

Stromba: Invisible Stink (5.00)
Stromba is the duo of Tom Tyler and James Dyer, who started out in 1998 making sample-based music on an Akai S950. Since then, they have expanded their line-up, and this new album features contributions from seven other musicians. However, it was still recorded in Tom Tyler's sitting room, hence the title.

Chang Wording Girl: Neon Eon (excerpt) (10.00)
Chang Wording Girl evolved from South Korea's 'chong-um' scene, which re-interprets the traditional mask dances of the country. The basis of the band is the three Korean guitarists, but for this release they have enlisted the help of a Japanese vocalist (Aki Matsunaga) and another (Janet Chua) from Singapore.

George Haslam's Freetime: Wails from the Crypt (5.21)
Recorded at the Jazz Club Železná, Prague, 11 November 2002; this band came together in spring 2002, when the Jazz Club Železná and Czech National Radio put British sax player George Haslam in touch with a group of Czech musicians. They describe the music as 'freely based improvisation over positive rhythms'.

Tod Dockstader: Lala (6.24)
Tod Dockstader is a pioneer of electronic music who has influenced the likes of Matmos and Autechre. He is 73 years old and still making challenging and innovative records. This is from his new one, which creates an aural collage from cassette recordings of short wave radio broadcasts.
