Featuring Siôn Orgon in session
Pedro remixed by Fourtet: Fear & Resilience (14.20)
This track appeared in its original form on Pedro (aka James Rutledge)'s debut album, released last year. It's now one of seven tracks on a mini-album, all of which are remixes of the same tune, by the likes of Cherrystones, Danger Mouse and Prefuse 73. This is an excerpt of Kieran Hebden's take on it.

Barbara Benary: Exchanges (7.50)
The Kitchen was founded in 1971, and soon established itself as a prime location in the development of New York's downtown experimental music scene. Over the years, many recordings were made there, and as time progressed further, these recordings began to deteriorate. However, a recent collaboration with the Looking Glass Studios and Philip Glass' Orange Mountain Music label has produced the funds to restore many of these recordings, and this is taken from the first set.
Barbara Benary, Malcolm Goldstein, Naaz Hosseini (violins)
The piece is based on a sustained tone, on to which new pitches are introduced by a carefully arranged process with improvised interludes.
