Flanger: Funeral March (4.55)
Flanger is the duo of Burnt Friedman and Uwe Schmidt (also known as Atom Heart and Señor Coconut). This album has been three years in production, and is an exploration of the pre-jazz era of swing, New Orleans blues and Dixieland.

Nine Horses: Snow Borne Sorrow (6.22)
Nine Horses is David Sylvian, his brother and frequent collaborator Steve Jansen and, from Flanger, Burnt Friedman. Elsewhere on this album, the Swedish singer Stina Nordenstam and Norwegian trumpeter Arve Henriksen can be heard, as well as Ryuichi Sakamoto.

Ennio Morricone: Corsa Sui Tetti (4.58)
This comes from a new double CD on Mike Patton's Ipecac label, which showcases some of the more leftfield work of the pioneering film composer better known for his Spaghetti Western scores. The selections have been made by Alan Bishop, and the set contains liner notes by John Zorn: a noted Morricone enthusiast.

Sérgio Dias interview (14.35)
Sérgio Dias was one third of Os Mutantes, who were the house band of Brazil's Tropicalia movement in the 1960s. In August this year, he played his first ever gig in the UK, and Mixing It was there to record it.
