Nikola Kodjabashia is a Macedonian born composer now based in Plymouth, who has studied with the likes of Ligeti, Kurtág and Harrison Birtwistle. This CD consists of nine variations derived from traditional Byzantine chant, as transcribed by the composer's musicologist father Lane Kodjabashia.
