Mark Feldman and Graham Clark: Duo 1 (3.55)
This was the first piece that Mark Feldman and Graham Clark played together when they met for the first time in a central London studio last autumn. The pieces from this session were all improvised on the spot, and for those listening in stereo, Graham Clark is on the left and Mark Feldman is on the right
Graham Clark is an established British jazz violinist who was last heard on Mixing It playing with Graham Massey's Toolshed. Mark Feldman is an in-demand American violinist who has toured with the likes of Pharoah Sanders and Bill Frisell, and is a member of the Arcado String Trio.

Amon Tobin: Flash Forward (End Theme Remix) (4.05)
The Getaway: Black Monday is a computer game based in a virtual East London gang culture. The original music for it was created by games music writers Nimrod, but Ninja Tune/Big Dada artists were commissioned to make remixes of some of the themes. This is Amon Tobin's reworking of the music for the game's closing credits.

Gibrán Cervantes is a Mexican composer, percussionist and instrument builder who has created a gigantic percussion instrument which he calls the Urukúngolo. This word is the ancient word for the South American percussion/string instrument known as the berimbau: in fact, the instrument Gibrán uses consists of a 9 feet square frame from which numerous berimbaus hang. This CD was given to Mixing It by the saxophonist Trevor Watts, who also appears here.

Koushik: One In A Day (3.30)
Koushik Ghosh, a producer/singer from Dundas, Ontario in Canada, has been described by fellow Canadian Manitoba as knowing 'more about music than anyone I've ever met'. Strangely, though, Koushik describes his own musical style as having something to do with 'tapered pants'.

Supersoft [14-18] are a mysterious collective from the French town of Reims, who record and produce everything themselves. Their names are Jean-Marc Wadel, Manel Bigot, Lou Flanagan, LOCARd and Mme Ganache (who doesn't look like a Madame on their press photos).

Exile: Rage is the Beautiful Light that Struck Her (5.00)
This comes from a label compilation, limited to a run of 500 CDs in individually blow-torched and hand wrecked jewel cases. There are tracks by the likes of Dolphin, Boep, Bovaflux and DJ Spazmo. This track is by Tim Shaw, aka Exile, whose work can also be heard at the Victoria and Albert Museum's Shhh! aural exhibition. He won a competition to compose music for the museum's Silver Galleries.
