Gibrán Cervantes: Canela (4.50)
On the first piece: Trevor Watts (saxes); Jamie Harris (percussion); Gibrán Cervantes (Urukungolo); the second piece is a solo Urukungolo improvisation by the Mexican instrument builder and percussionist Gibrán Cervantes.
The Urukungolo is an instrument developed by Gibrán Cervantes which consists of berimbeu-type instruments of differing length and pitch mounted on a frame and played with sticks, hammers or bows.

Dungen ('grove') is a band put together by the Swedish multi-instrumentalist Gustav Ejstes. He grew up in a 17th century house in a village in the Vastergotland area of Sweden. His father was a violinist and music teacher, and young Gustav was smitten by hip hop in his teens before moving on to the heavy psychedelic retro sound he employs now.

David Shea: Radio Weekend; Wood (3.23)
These two pieces come from a longer piece composed by the New York-based electronic composer David Shea. He wrote the music specifically for the Royer/Collard-Neven Duo, who have been working together since 1999. The Book of Scenes consists of 29 short scenes highlighting the surrounding environment in which they are performed through manipulations from the composer. David Shea is available to accompany any duo wishing to perform the work.

Grizzly Bear: Shift (2.18)
Grizzly Bear is the result of a fifteen month gestation in the Brooklyn apartment of Bostonian Edward Droste, who then hooked up with Christopher Bear from Chicago. They later added reeds and electronics specialist Chris Taylor and guitarist and composer Daniel Rossen to the group.
