Tom Waits: King Kong (5.30)
This is taken from a double CD dedicated to outsider singer/songwriter Daniel Johnston. One CD is a kind of greatest hits collection, while the other has the same songs covered by a variety of artists, including Beck, Eels, Flaming Lips, and, here, Tom Waits. The album has been released as a benefit album to raise funds to help Johnston's parents buy the house next door for their son, who has suffered for many years from bi-polar disorder.

The Thing: Art Star (4.30)
This is a cover version of a song by New York nouveau punks the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The Thing is a Scandinavian trio of Mats Gustafsson (baritone sax), Ingebrigt Haker Flaten (double bass) and Paal Nilssen-Love (drums/percussion). They got together in Stockholm early in 2000.
