Jez Nelson presents an exclusive concert recording of the Brazilian musical visionary, Hermeto Pascoal. Sometimes described as the Brazilian Duke Ellington, he is a complete musician, equally able to conjure music from a balloon pump or kettle as from the piano.
An influence on Miles Davis' music in the early seventies, he also has a cult following among British jazz musicians. This programme features a rare chance to hear him with his regular Brazillian sextet.
