John Fordham presents a session specially recorded for Jazz on 3 from new trio 'arthurs.høiby.ritchie'. Nominated as Rising Star in the 2004 BBC Jazz Awards, and winner of the Peter Whittingham Award 2001, trumpeter Tom Arthurs has been fast making a name for himself on the London jazz and improvised music scene.
One of several projects led by Arthurs, 'arthurs.høiby.ritchie' deliver intensely rhythmic compositions with unlimited potential for invention and for the unexpected. The bassist is Jasper Høiby and the drummer is Stu Ritchie.
