Petroc is joined from rehearsals at Glyndebourne Opera House by conductor Ivan Fischer who makes his debut there with Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte this week.
Gianandrea Noseda conducts a cycle of Tchaikovsky Symphonies in Manchester beginning with the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra (Kirov) in Symphonies 3 and 4 on Friday. He joins Petroc from our Manchester studios.
Odaline de la Martinez was the first woman to conduct at the Proms. She founded the contemporary music ensemble Lontano in 1976 and this Friday begins a major festival of American Music with them at The Warehouse and St Giles Cripplegate in London. She talks to Petroc alongside composer Peter Child, one of whose works is premiered in the festival.
