Sean Rafferty's guests on tonight's programme are violinist Leila Josefowicz who'll be playing live in the studio accompanied by John Novacek. Leila's first recital disc in being released, and includes the premiere recording of Esa-Pekka Salonen's "Lachen verlernt"; cellist Steven Isserlis will be talking to Sean ahead of three performances of the Schumann cello concerto with OAE under Mark Elder; and David Owen Norris will be in the studio to talk about the launch of 'The Works', a new collaboration of artists focussing on education and outreach programmes, and presenting 'performance-as-research' in all fields, especially in the song repertoire.
