A John Casken Birthday Tribute
A musical portrait of one of Britain 's most respected composers, born in Barnsley on this day in 1949. Fellow Barnsleyite Sarah Walker talks to John Casken to present four of his major works - all with extra-musical associations, from the Russia of Tolstoy to the mines of his native northern England .
