Sara Mohr-Pietsch introduces works that combine instruments with electronics, plus works from an international convention on electroacoustic music.
Enno Senft and the London Sinfonietta under by Pierre-Andre Valade give the UK premiere of Michael Jarrell's Droben Schmettert Ein Greller Stein for double bass and ensemble. And in a series of concerts given in Glasgow last month, the Diotima Quartet perform Jonathan Harvey's fourth String Quartet with electronics developed at IRCAM, a European institute for musical science.
Plus Pedro Rebelo from the Sonic Arts Research Centre in Belfast discussing recent winners from the 2007 International Rostrum of Electroacoustic Music.
