Tony Benn is one of the great intellects of the last century. He is grounded in reality. He has no prejudice. He loves his enemies and his friends. He understands the human condition. If you have been swayed by the huge mountain of prejudice piled up against this pilgrim's progress, why not read his books, listen to 'The Benn Tapes' or seek out his writings. Compared to recent leaders, to me, he looks like a giant; not because he belittles others, but because he speaks real good sense. Just to get you hyped-up, I think he is a true democrat; a very rare commodity in government, to-day. Oh, I am not the only one. He was voted by MPs, the most paliamentary of parliamentarians. Not bad for the MP drawn, so often, as one of the 'baddies'.
