Catherine Bott presents a concert recorded earlier this month at the York Early Music Festival, given by the Swiss-based Ensemble 415 (directed by Chiara Banchini). The programme celebrates the tercentenary of the death of Heinrich Biber with a sequence of sacred and secular pieces composed for Archbishop Gandolph in Salzburg, by Biber and his contemporaries Schmelzer and Johann Meder.
