Charles Hazelwood is joined by pianist Joanna MacGregor and the BBC Concert Orchestra for an exploration of one of Gershwin's first concert masterpieces - the Piano Concerto. Fresh from his success in the concert hall with Rhapsody in Blue and with his triumphs on Broadway running in tandem, Gershwin consolidated his skills to produce a fully fledged piano concerto for the Boston Symphony.
