Delius on Radio 3

Radio 3 is broadcasting six concerts from the Bradford-based Delius Inspired festival.

The programmes reflect the music of Delius and the composers he influenced.

Festival director, violinist Tasmin Little says: "This will be the first time a festival of such diversity has been put together to celebrate Delius. Delius Inspired will be a superb week of music reflecting some of the greatest of Delius's output.

"I chose the name "Delius Inspired" because I wanted to present music which inspired Delius but also to show how he inspired other musicians. Not only was Delius inspired by the opportunities he had to enjoy music and culture in Bradford, but we in turn have been inspired by the music he wrote."
