7 May 2005

Saturday 7 May 2005 9:00-13:00 (Radio 3)

Andrew McGregor plays some of this month's newest releases and talks to the baritone, Dietrich Henschel about his recording of Schubert's Winterreise. Plus, masterclasses with the legendary Fischer Dieskau; the Bach pilgrimage with John Eliot Gardiner, and his latest Schubert disc of songs around themes of death, wandering and night.

Martin Cotton recommends a version of Ravel's Piano Concerto for the Left Hand from the currently available recordings. There's a round-up of some recently reissued recordings. And Nick Morgan reviews new releases of baroque instrumental music, including Couperin chamber works from Le Concert des Nations and Musica ad Rhenum.
