The second of this week's concerts from the Leeds Lieder+ series, features a recital given by soprano Elizabeth Watts, baritone Hakan Ekenas and pianist Roger Vignoles. The programme explores the way poets and composers have portrayed the sea, through themes of naval history, the loss of lives at sea, vivid seascapes and the pain of separation.
