Presented by Penny Gore. 1.00pm Radio 3 Lunchtime Concert Direct from Wigmore Hall in London, Verity Sharp introduces a recital of songs and duets by the husband-and-wife team of mezzo-soprano Ann Murray and tenor Philip Langridge, who are joined by pianist Malcolm Martineau in a programme taking in works by Barber, Bridge, Moeran and Britten. 2.00pm British Symphony Series: Peter Maxwell Davies Symphony Cycle Concluding a survey of the symphonies of Master of the Queen's Music Sir Peter Maxwell Davies. Plus major choral works by more peers of the musical world, Sir Granville Bantock, Sir George Dyson and Sir John Tavener, and music from this year's Royal Northern College of Music festival of Brass.
