City of London Festival 2007

The final week of concerts given at last summer's festival began with a recital from St Andrew's Holborn, by Radio 3 New Generation Artists oboist Alexei Ogrintchouk and the Psophos Quartet.

2.00pm The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and friends

The programme interweaves a whistlestop tour through Czech music since Dvorak with a musical recreation of a remarkable journey. Between 1465 and 1467 the Czech nobleman, diplomat and spy Leo of Rozmital made a pilgrimage from Prague to the Spanish shrine of Santiago de Compostela, travelling there and back through most of Europe.
