Sacrifice - Elton John

Elton John
Released in November 1989, Sacrifice only managed to reach number 55 in the UK charts. However, the song was re-released in June 1990, with proceeds going to several AIDS charities.

Sacrifice CD coverThe double A-side version, coupled with Healing Hands, stayed at the top of the charts for five weeks, finally selling more than 600,000 copies. Elton was proud to be able to present a cheque for 328,000 to his nominated AIDS organisations.
