Sold On Song

BRITs 25 Song Award
Heroes - David Bowie

Heroes evolved from a collaboration with Brian Eno in Berlin. The song was inspired by seeing two lovers kissing by the Berlin Wall which could be seen from the Hansa studios where it was recorded.

Reaching only number 24 in the UK charts in October 1977, Heroes was the title track from his album released the same year. A longer version appears on the album.
