I love this song - it means so much to me and has always been 'our song'.
Tracy
Sadie, Grimsby The first version I ever heard, good but not great. I found a version sung by Frances Black. A sweet female voice with a strong accent made the song sound even better and mean even more. I haven't heard the origianl yet but I am sure I will at some point. in the very near future.
Charles / Fairbanks, Alaska Sorry Ronan yours is not the best, though the song is tops. The best version is the remake with Kieth Whitley and Allison Krauss in duo. Till you have heard it you haven't heard anything.
Sue, Isle of Wight My husband bought this just after our son was born, and it says it all.
christa, LA I love this song but only the way keith whitley does it! Its an absolute beautiful love song and the perfect love song to describe how you interact with somone that you feel strongly for! I love this song because right before my husband purposed to me he sang it while playing his guitar! It was the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for me! It made the song a hit!!
Tito, Redruth Credit to those with the knowledge and musical appreciaiton to rate the original by Keith Whitley. Great country voice and by his contempories rated potentially the greatest country singer ever, had he lived. The Alison Kraus version was from a tribute concert to Keith Whitley - that says it all!
Bab I love this song and every song sung by Ronan Keating---he's amazing!
Steph 16, Brisbane This song can be taken in so many ways. I don't always see it as a 'classic' love song, it is also about friendship through simple gestures and smiles =)He makes the world a better and happier place.
Mel Ipswich The song is one of my favourites. This is because it is so meaningful
Darren, Derby "You say it best when you say nothing at all" - sounds like a coded message to 'belt up' to me.
DonnaMarie Baxter - Glsagow I love this song, I was a big Ronan fan when he was in Boyzone and still I still am a fan of his today, he did well to make it on his own and I wish him all the very best in the future
max doncaster absolute pants !!!
Emma, Norwich This song is amazing, I loved it from the minute I first heard it. Ronan is a good, not just for his looks but for his pure and raw talent too.
musiclover, london ronan keating?!!!
you have got to be kidding...
who on earth is responsible for this list?
Dave Drugge - Edmonton, Alberta Kieth Whitley's is the only version worth mentioning, since it was penned for him. Allison Krause has a magnificant voice, but she just doesn't carry the message that Keith does. Plus I'm biased. I love Keith's songs. Ronan is a great artist but what was he thinking...?
Kirsty, Fife You don't know this song at its best until you hear Ronan singing it live. Wow.
louise, east sussex this is such a great song! i love ronan so much!
jenny west mildlands ronan makes this song his own no one can make a song like him he is just such class the best
Emmie Benbow Wolverhampton, West Midlands. Hi, It's become a real classic love song, perfect background at those times when words just aren't enough. It's sweet, it's simple and has a lovely Celtic feel with those whistles and pipes in there, it's become become timeless. Ronan puts those lyrics across beautifully with the young and gentle voice he had at the time. A lovely song, it means a lot to so many people.
Eily - Jersey, Channel Islands This is by far the best version of this song, Ronan has truly made it his own, great song!
Ang, Australia This truly is a beautiful song and Ronan adds a unique quality to it, making it his own and will be remembered as the best version especially as it was featured in "Notting Hill" well done Ronan
Trevor Howard, nr St Albans The best version I've heard is by Alison Krauss. Nothing else comes close!
Sai Shrinivas Sreedharan/Norfolk I feel great about the lyrics its like you are driven away by his words and it is best when you say nothing at all.
Anon, Lampeter This song is utter meaningless drivel.
Declan, Dublin Ronan should have been arrested and convicted for the murder of an innocent song!! Alison Krauss's version is Premier League. Ronan's is the Vuaxhall Conference
Danielle ... Middlesbrough This song is great,it has real meaning unlike most songs... Ronan can take any song and make it his own!!! He is a real star!!!
skwibbstaa brighton Rubbish! Absolute rubbish! Pass me the sick bucket!
Natalie - Rochester Like many other this song was my 1st dance at my wedding - my husband bought me the dvd of the film on our 1st date and he knew i had always loved ronan's music.
cetot Hounslow Pity that Ronan's version , in my opinion the weakest , should be the best known . He deserves credit however for bringing "country" songs to the consiousness of people who would otherwise ignore the genre .
helen/nr sheffield lovely song with lots of meaning
gabriella szekely absolutely love the song
Ravi Putrevu/Norfolk I almost always feel, somehow this song is about me...my friends feel it is about their life and that makes this song-the best.
Natalie, New York The straight rip-off was originally done by Keith Whitley and not Alison Kraus. Ronan's version is far the most emotional version so far. I love this song and will always be special to me.
Marisa - Malta I think this is one of the best ever love songs and Ronan's voice fits the song so perfectly that I can never listen to any other version without thinking that it lacks that special something. Give me Ronan's version anytime.
Angela from Kent If it wasn't for Ronan, I wouldn't have even heard of the song, the same for a lot of younger generation music fans. He gave it his own unique style and crossed from country to adult pop. It's distinctly uplifting and means a lot to so many people, it's a classic
Donna, Surrey The song is beautiful, I never heard the original version but Ronan certainly did it justice. His voice is just wonderful and you can hear so much passion in it.
Maureen Isle of Wight I always thought Spitting Image could have done a good spoof with the title being "you sing it best when you sing nothing at all" !!!!!
RIchard & Mel, Tuxford This was "Our Song" at our wedding last year. Richard managed to dance, just!
Adina /Barlad, Romania This song means a lot to me...it is a song no one can listen to without letting themselves soar in a world of dream and love...it is beautiful
Paul, Bristol Strange that this is the "definitive" version. I would have thought that the Alison Krauss version (of which this is a straight rip-off) should be headlining here !!
