Jeremy's Bedtime Stories Vote: Terms & Conditions

Radio 2's Jeremy Vine: Bedtime Stories Voting Rules:

1. Listeners can take part only by accessing the following link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/jeremy-vine/bedtime-stories/

2. The voting will take place as follows:

- First Round (to select 8 from the 36 shortlisted stories) between 12:00pm on 19 October 2009 to 14:00 on 23 October 2009

- Second Round (to select a winner from the 8 finalist) between 12:00 pm on 2nd November 2009 to 14:00 on 5th November 2009

3. Any votes outside the announced voting interval will not count.

4. Listener may vote only once in either one or the two rounds.

5. This is not a competition and there will be no prize for anyone who has voted for the winning story.

6. The BBC reserves the right to change, cancel or suspend this event at any time.

7. The BBC reserves the right to disqualify entries or suspend voting if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that fraudulent voting has occurred or if it considers there has been any attempt to rig the voting. The BBC has the right to substitute an alternative selection method at its absolute discretion. The maximum number of votes made from one IP address or telephone number is 1.

8. If for any reason the online system fails, a contingency plan will be actioned. This will consist of the overall decision lying with a panel of judges. The panel will also have a casting vote in the event of a tie.

9. The BBC cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any on-line, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any vote being lost or not properly registered or recorded.

10. Please note that anyone who is directly connected in any way with the production of the programme or this event is not eligible to vote.

11. The voting in this programme accords with the BBC's Code of Conduct for Competitions and Voting, which can be found on BBC code of conduct for voting
