About The Song

Ordinary World was originally recorded by Duran Duran and appeared on their eponymous 1993 album (also known as 'The Wedding Album'). It marked a return to popularity for the group, synonymous with the 1980s New Romantic era, whose last Top Ten hit in the UK had been five years earlier. It reached No.6 in the UK and No.3 in America, and won an Ivor Novello the following year.

A dance version of the track, recorded by Aurora featuring Naimee Coleman, fared slightly better in the UK, reaching No.5 in the singles chart in 1999.
