See festival photos of James.Van Morrison has called James Hunter “one of the best voices in British R’n’B and soul”, and increasing numbers of fans are prone to agree. The Colchester-born singer-songwriter, with a groove straight out of the fifties and a rare touch on the guitar, scored a Blues Grammy nomination in 2006. His critically acclaimed album ‘People Gonna Talk’ was produced at Liam Watson’s analogue Toe Rag Studios in London, also birthplace of The White Stripes’ ‘Elephant’ LP.
