How are you finding the atmosphere, Johnny? Johnny: Well, it's still early days at the party. The girls are standing on one side of the room, the boys are standing on the other side. Nothing's happened yet.
You're the indie boy in amongst all the pop people - how does that feel? Johnny:[grinning]I'm certainly not an indie boy, I'm certainly not. What do you count yourself as? Johnny: I'm a musician, and a songwriter! I've never played indie music in my life! [Then, seriously] I think we're a rock 'n' roll band, really. And how does that feel? [Long pause.] I've got no answer to that. It doesn't feel like anything.
Are you feeling festive? Johnny: No, not yet. I hate Christmas - no, I say that, I don't hate Christmas, I like it really. I'm just still on tour, and I'm still going, so we'll be playing until the 23rd, and then we'll probably have a little stop and think "gosh, it's Christmas".
What are your plans for next year? Johnny: On the 6th of January we're going out to America, we're going to do a tour, then we come back here and do the Ally Pally show and loads of big shows, that should be good, and then we're back out in America, I think. Is that daunting? Johnny: I'm convinced there's at least 1 million people in America who would really benefit from having our album in their CD collection. I'm absolutely convinced of it.
Have you been recording in LA? Johnny: Yeah, yeah, it was great. For a whole three days. The sun shines out there, the grass is green, and we were out in a studio in North Hollywood - studio city - recording some new tracks.
