TOTP: What was your favourite song of 2004?
Lemar: I would have to go with Usher's 'Yeah'. I think that was a really good comeback song for him. Put him back on track.

TOTP: That was written by Lil Jon – who we hear might be doing hip hop songs with Paris Hilton...
Lemar: Paris Hilton? Really? OK! OK! I haven't heard her do anything musical before, so that will be... interesting.

TOTP: So how's it feel being here at this christmas party?
Lemar: Yeah it's cool! It seems like another gig where there's loads of bands and we're going out to enjoy ourselves, but it doesn't feel like Christmas – apart from the Christmas tree to my right. I've been working so hard recently and I'm just not getting that Christmas feel yet, but I'm sure that as I slow down I'll feel more Christmassy.

TOTP: Are you going to try and get Christmassy tonight?
Lemar: Most definitely! I've seen more tinsel tonight than I've seen any other day this month. So I'm getting there.

TOTP: How are you getting along with the other acts tonight?
Lemar: I just bumped into Natasha and we had a little natter, and I've seen Jamelia and Razorlight and Mcfly and will have a chat with them later.

TOTP: Have you done all your Christmas shopping this year?
Lemar: What I've done this year is I've delegated. I said "Look, you go out and do that. You, go out and do that. I've been so busy, please go out and do it for me."

TOTP: Did you set them a spending limit?
Lemar: I should have done that, shouldn't I? "You can't spend more than twenty pounds… for these fifty people." That's me, miser.

TOTP: Won't your family be expecting big presents this year?
Lemar: Yeah, I'll send them EACH a FREE CD! Nah, that'd be cheeky. I will be getting them some nice presents.

TOTP: How are you planning to spend your Christmas?
Lemar: I'd like to get away. Hopefully I'll get to go to Barbados or Mauritius, anywhere where there's sun and sand. I don't want to be in the hustle and bustle.

TOTP: How did you feel about releasing the second album?
Lemar: Well I was nervous. You do go "I hope people like it, I hope people buy it." I think the most important thing on this one was that I was 100% happy with it. I was, and if it had done badly then at least I was left with something I was really pleased with. But it seems to have gone down well so I'm happy.

TOTP: Next year is the Brit awards, fancy another one of those?
Lemar: Yeah! I've got one so I'm over the hurdle of not having one. I'd love to be nominated for anything. To work hard and have that work being acknowledged through nominations is a very nice thing.

TOTP: You're a bit of a heart-throb, how do you cope with the fans?
Lemar: They're cool! I wouldn't be where I am without them. I appreciate everyone. My fans are pretty cool. I get a few that turn up at quite a few events. But that's a nice thing. If someone waits out in the cold to see you and then you seeing them makes their day, that's a nice thing.

TOTP: So you've not been stalked yet?
Lemar: No nothing like that. Well, nothing I can't handle.
