Your Reading/Leeds

Franz Ferdinand

Going to the Reading/Leeds festival this year?

You are? Brilliant. So are we. Which bands are you most looking forward to checking out?

On the August Bank Holiday we're heading out to see bands such as Muse, Arctic Monkeys and Franz Ferdinand kick festival ass.

Which stage do you reckon has the best line up? Where should we pitch our tent? What should we think about to distract us from the fact that having just got in to our sleeping bags we really need the toilet.

Either way we want to hear what you got up to last time you were there so we can plan our festival mission.

Our lovely map of Europe

CommentHere's what you're saying...

Can't wait to see Muse, always amazing live.
Sarah, Cambridge

I wish I was going, the only band missing from the line-up is Brigade...they so should be there. Why the hell are people voting for lame bands in the Kerrang Awards when Brigade clearly wipe the floor with them. My advice to those going, take plenty of tesco value baby wipes - they can clean everything. So damn cheap too. A hat is pretty handy, and sun cream too.

carling stage lookin the bst carnt really rember the line up buts it good if i rember rightly

I really wanna see The Subways & Primal Scream play! They rock! In argumant with boss at moment though because of shifts!:( ...lol!
Andy, Barnsley

Check out the switches. Playing Reading on the Sunday. Go see Muse.Of course! You'd be mad not to!
Nic

goin again this year, everyone needs to check Bleeding Through out in the tent, they will rip everyone a new ass
Fazza

Check out 'The King Blues' who are opening the festival. Saw them in Camden a few weeks ago at teh Dublin Castle and they will be a great festival bank. A nice bit of ska but will have you dancing like Spearhead.
Chris Pendse

MUSE will have to perform well to stop the Reading 'Rock' fetival slipping to Reading 'Indie-Pop' Festival. I sold my ticket once the main line-ups had been decided. Disgrace.
Andy J

Can't wait as its also gonna be my 21st on the 27th. Gonna watch Artic Monkeys, Muse and The Shins. With Pete and Carl talking again who reckons the libertines might re-form for the dirty pretty things set? Either way, gonna be a scorcher of a weekend!
Martin Perou, Skipton, Leeds

Don't make a rigid plan of who you want to see! Wander around from tent to tent and you'll catch some of the best bands you've never heard of! I believe the whole point of Reading Festival is just to wander and make friends :-D
Phat Nick

Absolutely great! Random people, random fun! ive been 5 years on the trot and theres always drinking to excess, dancing your nuts off, and loadsa nudity! barrel of laughs!
Paul

Make sure your tent isn't too easy to get to otherwise stuff will go missing! Last year I had my beer stolen and my girlfriend had all her pants stolen - they left her ipod behind though!! Oh and make sure you have a bacon sarnie every morning - they wake you up and cure your hangover like nothing else!

Reading last year was out there. Kasabian blew me away and so did more unkown bands (then) like Archade Fire and some band called the Arctic monkey. Orange campsite for sure -most chilled but most fun. Bring on this year!
Dunc, Manc

Best festival in UK, always go on a wednesday, always camp in yellow camp site, sunday night is radio one tent night... and put your cans in the front of your tent to keep them cool. morning is the best time to drink canned beer. sit back and enjoy :-)
Andy

If you're camping...camp on top of the hill. Your tent wont get burnt down in the Sunday Riots if you do that :( Like Me.
Jack, Leeds

Cant wait for it. Gonna be the biggest one yet. Looking forward to see Pearl Jam and Muse. What a weekend it will be loads of bands, beer, birds and sunshine (hopefully).
