Toby Sealey

Toby Sealey

Planning & programme editor and reporter.

What were you doing before Radio 1?
Working for Newsgathering - another part of the BBC.

What are you most proud of in your job?
I’m not a proud kind of person.

Worst on air moment?
Getting the name Nichols confused with nipples!

Three words that describe you:
Big, loud, annoying.

Advice to anyone who wants to get started in journalism:
Ask yourself why.

Where would you like to be in 10 years' time?
Rich, retired.

Who would you most like to interview?
Anyone with a tale to tell.

Who's your favourite news reporter and why?
I don’t have one. Steve Blears is good though.

I spend my time off...
Having sleepless nights because of my young kids and trying to catch up on sleep.

If wasn't a news reporter I'd be...
Something which pays better.
