Brit Awards 2005
Brit mistake means nominations change
Last updated 21 January 2005

Kasabian

There's been a bit of a mistake with one of the Brit nomination categories - - you can see the full list by clicking here.

Organisers say an error was made with the Best Single category because the year they calculated was made up of 53 weeks rather than 52.

This means that they've added in five new singles to contend for the award - they are:

  • George Michael - 'Amazing'
  • Keane - 'Everybody's Changing'
  • Natasha Bedingfield -'These Words'
  • The Streets - 'Dry Your Eyes'
  • Sugababes - 'In The Middle'

These artists will go head-to-head with the five nominations that were already in place:

  • Band Aid 20 - 'Do They Know It's Christmas?'
  • Jamelia - 'Thank You'
  • LMC vs U2 - 'Take Me To The Clouds Above'
  • Shapeshifters - 'Lola's Theme'
  • Will Young - 'Your Game'
