Essential Mix Of The Year 2011 - Terms and Conditions

From 1300 (GMT) on Friday 9th December 2011 an online vote will be launched allowing listeners of the Essential Mix the opportunity to vote for their favourite Mix of 2011.

The vote will close at 2100 (GMT) on Monday 19th December 2011.

The winning Mix will be announced in Anne Mac's show on 23rd December 2011 and broadcast on 24th December 2011.

Terms and Conditions:

1. Listeners can take part only by accessing the following link http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/essentialmix/essentialmixoftheyear/2011/ Listeners will find a list of 15 mixes played on the Essential Mix in 2011 that have been shortlisted by a Radio 1 panel. Listeners can register their vote by electronically ticking the box beside the name of the DJ who produced their favourite Mix.

2. Listeners cannot vote by any other method.

3. Any votes registered outside the announced voting times will not count.

4. This is not a competition and there will be no prize for the DJ whose Mix is the overall favourite or for any voter.

5. Listeners can only register one vote.

6. The BBC reserves the right to disqualify entries or suspend voting if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that fraudulent voting has occurred or if it considers there has been any attempt to rig the voting. The BBC has the right to substitute an alternative selection method at its absolute discretion.

7. If, for any reason, the online voting system fails, in a tie scenario or in the event of suspected attempts to manipulate the vote, a contingency plan will be actioned. This will consist of the overall decision lying with a panel of judges consisting of the Essential Mix production team and DJ Pete Tong.

8. The BBC reserves the right to change, cancel or suspend this Vote at any time.

9. The BBC cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any on-line system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any vote being lost or not properly registered or recorded.

10. Please note that any BBC staff member or anyone who is directly connected in any way with the production of the programme is not eligible to vote.

11. The voting in this programme accords with the BBC Code of Conduct Voting.
