Radio 1 live from Download

Download. Day 2. A little jetlagged. A little hungover. But all good. Arrived on site with Daniel P Carter, grabbed a coffee and a hamburger and ran over to see the mighty Hatebreed on the main stage. Brutal and awesome all at the same time. Now we're in the Radio 1 tipi getting ready to do a three hour live show on Radio 1 (you should listen by the way). We have some great guests coming in and I have a feeling it's going to be a great day. And... it hasn't rained yet. Did I just jinx it?

Faith No More!

As far as festival sets go, Faith No More pretty much pulled a perfect headline out of the bag... The greatest show I have seen in a long lonnnnnnng time.

Hollywood at Download

Still backstage. Bizkit were ok if you're into that sort of thing. Only watched a few songs then got bored. I think Dan's still in the pit even though the set ended twenty minutes ago. In the press area it's like the Hollywood Sunset Strip circa 1987. Took a leak next to Nikki Sixx, just interviewed Vince Neil in the hottest leopard skin clad room ever and Duff GnR is sitting right next to me. Corey Slipknot just walked by to go see Korn play. I think I'll do the same. Mike. Out. Limp Bizkit fans charging the stage!

Backstage interviews

So far so good! We made it here in one piece, went straight from the parking lot to the backstage area and started busting out interviews. The Blackout, Killswitch Engage, Bring Me The Horizon all done. Many more to follow but now the crowd is gathering in front of the mainstage because of the Bizkit. Will they go down a storm, will they get bottled or will there be a riot? We willl report to you momentarily.

10:58 Dan: Still haven't left London. Just caught a 157lb yellow fin tuna on my phone. Wicked.
10:58 Mike: My phone doesn't work over here. Darn it. Dan's does. Which is why he's tweeting every minute.

10:00 Dan: Already expecting hayfever to ruin my download. Punching myself in the face may be an option.

10:00 Mike: 17 hour flight and into heathrow. Spun out and ready to rock. Where am I?
