Monday 30th March 2009
06:30 - News and Sport
06:35 – We have a big natter about what we all got up to at the weekend. Good times had by all, and Rachel had a lovely birthday
06:55 – We read out some texts of what people have been up to over the weekend, and discuss the tiresome process of resetting all the clocks in the house over the weekend
07:00 - News and Sport
07:05 – We talk about Rachel’s crazy new age friends, who like to eat mung beans and discuss coastal erosion, and talk a bit more about the pros and cons of tongue piercing
07:20 – Matt Fincham is here looking sick and pathetic, and we embark on the maiden voyage of Wake up to Ronan, where Rachel wakes up Chris and Dave
07:30 - News and Sport
07:35 – We try and work out who we should ring and wake up next with our new Ronan feature. We reckon Chappers would find it very funny, so Dom is off to try him.
07:45 – Dom couldn’t get hold of Chappers, but he has woken up Fergus Dudley, our weekend Executive Producer. Chris and Dave then attempt to run down the chart from 10 to 1. It’s not the best effort they’ve ever done
08:00 - News and Sport
08:20 – Leanne from Swindon is on the phone telling us about the attractions of Swindon. They’ve got water slides, laser quest and Mexican food. Swindon comes from the Anglo Saxon word 'swindune' meaning ‘pig hill’
08:30 - News and Sport
08:40 – We talk about Chris’ busy schedule and our various gym routines. We also mention generic gas supplier servicing, and Satellite Steve who’s sorted out Chris audio visual tangle. Dave gets irritated by people who can’t appreciate the visual superiority of HD
09:00 – Tedious Link – McFly 'Star Girl'
09:05 – Star Girl is a brilliant record and we celebrate how good it is. We talk about cinemas and Blu Ray, and the qualities of each. Why do they sell nachos and other noisy food at the multiplex? We then talk scary movies and how rubbish we are at watching them. Matt has found a hilarious brass band clip, which we must use as our opener for Radio 1's Big Weekend in Swindon
09:25 – Dom’s written a birthday poem for Rachel. His rhyming is rubbish though, so Chris and Dave test his rhyming ability with a series of words that may or not rhyme
09:30 - News and Sport
09:45 – Cheggers' Pop Quiz with Tom and Eifion; both back tomorrow
