6.30 – News and Sport
6.35 – It’s really cold outside and Chris and Rachel are trying not to catch Dave and Dom’s illness. It’s the Radio 1 Christmas party tonight which will be interesting, and today Chris has got to record the voice for the speaking clock. This process confuses Dave, who thinks he’d have to record every time combination in the world ever. We talk about Chris’ friend Emily and Ross who used to go out with Rachel. Then we equate ourselves to our corresponding friends characters
6.55 – Dave has a go at doing the speaking clock, but doesn’t quite get the hang of it properly
7.00 - News and Sport
7.10 – We discuss today’s weather with Dominic and talk more about the speaking clock and whether it’s really necessary. We all have a go at doing it, and we nail it in the end
7.20 – Chris loves his mashups and has a selection to play us. He has a Beastie Boys one as well, but needs to send Rachel off to de-swear it
7.27 – Rachel is still away editing the track and Chris is in a far better mood than when he first turned up. Those two things are unrelated we believe. Chris wants Dominic to teach him how to play some basic chords on the guitar
7.30 - News and Sport
7.35 – Tonight is the Christmas party and we run through what we’re each wearing tonight. Dave is a wearing a relatively ugly hoodfie tonight. Dom’s in a dog blanket shirt and Chris is contemplating wearing a dress with a beard. We also get Dominic to find out the origins of the term 'boss-eyed'
7.50 – We talk about the right and wrong ways of de-icing your car. Don’t drive with your head out of the window like a dog, and Rachel has done the Beastie Boys edit, although it difficult to spot the join in the song
7.57 – It’s the return of the missing word game
8.00 - News and Sport
8.05 – We discuss what 'yunkers' are, which Dominic mentioned in the news. We have Wacky Dave the tiler from Colchester correctly guessing the word being Countdown
8.20 – We’ve just played the Adrian Dixon record and many men have texted in to say that it describes their relationship. We wonder what it might be like for Mally to live with Rachel, and we describe our own relationship and chores etc.
8.28 – Rachel has got a new iPhone and Chris shows her how to use it. He then adds 'Fluffy boy' to Dave’s contact details, which is just silly 'cos nobody calls him that
8.30 - News and Sport
8.35 – Aled is here and we talk about the Christmas party tonight. In order to make it more interesting, Chris is thinking of creating some scenarios for us to adopt to make the party more lively
8.55 – Aled reviews the Rage Against The Machine album, which is once again very funny
9.00 – Tedious Link – Pink Floyd 'Money'
9.05 – Tedious problems involving Dave’s palindrome years and then we each pick an uncomfortable scenario from Chris’s list to do tonight. We might get Matt Fincham and Aled to re-draw to have a more uncomforable scenario
9.25 – Matt and Aled re-draw and get even better scenarios
9.30 - News and Sport
9.35 – More suggestions of things we could do tonight at the Christmas party. Very funny
9.45 – Carpark Catchphrase with Holly and Robert; Robert wins
10.00 – We talk to Annie Mac about going out with Robert and about the Christmas party tonight
