Things have been going well for Felix and Simon of Basement Jaxx. They made a lot of friends with their debut album Remedy, and now with the latest album Rooty, the Brixton pair have combined a seemingly infinite number of influences and made sense of it all as a party album for the 21st century - and they got a Mercury Nomination for their troubles as well. Expect something a little out of the ordinary and flamboyant when they play at the Birmingham Academy - previous shows have included dancers in full carnival gear, head dresses and all!
