What's happening?
Radio 1 will be showcasing bands from North Wales as part of Radio 1's Big Weekend - The Fringe Festival.
The Fringe will celebrate the local music scene, from guitar bands through to bedroom DJs, MCs and everything in between.
An amazing line-up of artists have been selected by the Fringe Festival panel. The panel is made up of Radio 1 DJs Huw Stephens and Bethan Elfyn, Adam Walton, BBC Radio Wales Lisa Gwilym, BBC Radio Cymru and Radio 1 producers.
All the DJ's on the Fringe panel are part of the BBC Introducing network; BBC Introducing supports unsigned, undiscovered and under the radar artists across the UK.

So if this is you, read on!
As you know BBC Introducing supports unsigned, undiscovered and under the radar musicians. And as part of Radio 1's Big Weekend Fringe Festival they have set up two great opportunities for new musicians local to the Bangor area.
Demo listening with Radio 1 & Radio Cymru DJs and producers!
On Friday 21 May at Cob Records on Bangor High Street, Huw Stephens and Bethan Elfyn from Radio 1, Adam Walton from Radio Wales and Huw Evans from C2 will be waiting to listen to your demo! You'll get the chance to play them your latest demo, and they will offer your feedback on your track - if it will work for radio, advice on how to get it out there...
You need to sign up at Cob Records directly in advance by either going to the shop or calling them - Cob Records, 320 High Street, Bangor, LL57 1YA - Now fully booked - thanks!
Music Clinic with Kids in Glass Houses
On Friday 21 May at John Williams Music Shop in Bangor, Joel and Philip from Kids In Glass Houses will be in residence. So, if you 're a guitarist or bassist this is your chance to chat with the guys about performing, developing new tracks, techniques... anything you want, really!
You will need to sign up at John Williams Music Shop directly in advance. You can either go into the store or call them - John Williams, 1 Waterloo Road, Bangor, LL57 1DS - 01248 355 622
You will be allocated a 15 minute slot. Slots will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
