Ute

Ute are a young Oxford-based trio who take folk, twist it and push it to entirely new places. Intricate, click-clack rhythms collide with sparse hand claps and soaring harmonies, led by beautifully fragile Thom Yorke-esque lead vocals. The band have enjoyed regular airplay from BBC Oxford Introducing and recorded a live session for the show back in April. BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson is also a fan, and described the band as “an adventurous trio… a challenging, rewarding listen.”
