22-year-old Nicola Varley, a.k.a. Envy, is a talented MC who produces sharp, dark, intelligent grime. Her rhymes are reminiscent of Missy and give Lady Sov and Kid Sister a run for their money. Raised on the Manchester freestyle MC battle scene, she developed a lightning fast, fiery flow and soon found support from BBC Introducing in Manchester and Huw Stephens on Radio 1. Her debut album, Set Yourself on Fire, is out now.
