Melbourne-based foursome The Temper Trap create melancholic indie rock full of nervous energy and are tipped to be one of the bands to watch in 2009. They made the shortlist for the BBC's Sound of 2009 poll and recently recorded four tracks especially for BBC Introducing.
They recorded their track Sweet Disposition with producer Jim Abbiss (he's worked with Massive Attack, DJ Shadow and Arctic Monkeys so knows a thing or two) and immediately starting attracting attention. The Temper Trap are over here in the UK for live dates in April and May to coincide with the launch of their new single Science of Fear, so we thought we'd invite them to play at Radio 1's Big Weekend. Well, it would be rude not to, wouldn't it?
