Radio 1's Big Weekend Moor Park, Preston, 19th & 20th May 2007

I got a snap of Westwood and Scott Mills (see left) deep in conversation, although I've not a clue what they were talking about. If you've got a caption for the photo email it to [email protected] and we'll try and read out the best ones on the show or put them on the blog.

Probably the most unexcpected moment of the day came when Westwood ended up DJing for the wedding reception at the hotel where we were staying. I kid you not.

I got a quick clip of Zane, Scott, Annie having a chat back in the hotel...

Kieren from The View seemed to be having a good time after a few beers. This slightly random picture (see left) included Lip from Shameless (far right), Kieren (far left) and man in red T-shirt.

I also made a new friend, although I've no idea who...

Beth Ditto. The most awe-inspiring bosom Which threatened to escape its confines during the middle of Gossip's set... anyway the point is they did Careless Whisper - which they debuted in the Live Lounge on Wednesday - and its made the set already. Thank you Gossip!

Calvin Harris. He loves The Girls - especially Natasha Bedingfield. Although this particular Girl didn't love him or his mate Sean. At least her dressing room was locked when we went a-knocking...

Here's me, Johnny and his boots. Needed to get to the bottom of that new cowboy look he's been rocking. Note the extreme close-up. Note to self: must work out camera settings before catching up with all round vocal demon and rock legend.

Westwood. Nuff said.

Things I've discovered today...I'd make a great tranny (see the Scissor Sisters makeover) and I have absolutely no rhythm whatsoever...as you can see here in this film of me onstage with the fray.The boys kindly invited me to play tambourine with them and I think they might have regretted it...

So farseen two members of Razorlight - Carl and Andy....no Johnny yet - people are getting quite feverish and speculating about whether Kirsten Dunst might turn up with Johnny. As he's not yet arrived and they're due onstage in just over an hour the signs are all there...

Got my present from - a very cool flowery flask...useful for storing JD methinks.

Tom from Kasabian was watching the FA Cup Final in the canteen...

I am no longer Jo Whiley I am now Jo Mathers....just had my make up transformation by Jake Shears and urged on by Beth Ditto he decided to make me look like Eminem's ex Kim...it's a truly hideous sight. Kind of drag queen/Rocky Horror/pantomime dame. Ana from the Scissor Sisters has the best nail varnish in the entire world - luminous HOT pink.

Beth told us how after doing it in the live lounge - the band have now included their cover of Careless Whisper - the George Michael song in their set - it's so nice when that happens. In the backstage area there are loads of people hanging around - Lip from Shameless(he has the most amazing eyelashes), Kasabian (all cowboy boots and bloodshot eyes) all watching the football in a tent rather than the bands.

Half two and it's been manic so far...Jamie T quite excellent. Pigeon Detectives excellent - was set the task of getting Matt the singer's pants - got to rush off to collect them now - just had quiche and chat with Jake Shears and now I have a date with him to transform me into a Scissor Sister/drag queen. Fratellis - all very weary and promising a surprise or two when they take to the stage. Got to go...

We were just filming some stuff for telly and look what Annie Mac found...a mini version of me that was used in the TV ads for Big Weekend.

Fashion trauma and Mr Moyles

Saturday morning and there's a lot of fashion trauma going on back at the hotel...urgent calls made to people on site about the texture of the mud underfoot and the size and colour of the clouds overhead.

We all decide to go prepared in our biggest and bestest boots - check out how squeaky clean they are in the pics. Andy from Razorlight texts to ask whether it's welly weather - he's in Millets shopping en route to Preston. He promises to bring presents - am hoping for a flowery tent which I can use at Glastonbury....

Travel to the site with Mr Moyles - we swop band intros - comparing who we're introducing on stage. Today I got Scissor Sisters - he got Razorlight....must think of something witty to say...hmm...
