LCD Soundsystem founder and punk-funk pioneer James Murphy broke in to the mainstream with his club classic 'Daft Punk Is Playing At My House' in 2005. This band write songs that get rinsed in night club and have influenced the likes of CSS, New Young Pony Club, Klaxons and many more.

LCD were easily the highlight of the day. However it was rather surreal to be dancing away to them next to Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters.

I saw them in Birmingham and they did the best gig. Few live bands can get the audience dancing like LCD. Incredibly percussive and layered music were all fused perfectly into an awesome set. Let the beats role!
