After the fall of the Islamic State caliphate we look at the women of IS.
After the fall of the Islamic State caliphate, tens of thousands of women and children from around the world - followers of the group as well as its victims - ended up in a handful of camps in north-eastern Syria. Once run by the Kurds, those camps are now under the control of the Syrian authorities who are hoping to close them down and repatriate their residents. We look into the complexities of the task and ask who are the women of IS.
