Ghana's DJ Black tells DJ Edu how he's getting ready for his country's hectic festive season, and selects his top Afrobeats floor-fillers for Christmas and New Year parties.
Ghana has become Africa's top festive destination for the stars and fans of Afrobeats.
It all started back in 2019/20, when President Nana Akufo-Addo launched the Year of Return and issued an open invitation to people with African ancestry to come 'home' to Ghana.
As DJ Black explains, celebrities like Lauryn Hill and Danny Glover came to Accra for the Christmas period, as well as the Afronation and Afrochella festivals, and hundreds of people looking for a good time from Europe, the Caribbean and many other African nations.
DJ Black will be providing the soundtrack for some of this year's parties, as well as hosting shows on Joy FM radio. In this edition of TIA he shares some of the tunes guaranteed to get Ghanaians and their guests onto the dancefloor.
