Afronation Portugal 2023 was one of the biggest gatherings of African music royalty to date. The festival boasted performances from Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Asake, Aya Nakamura, DJ Maphorisa, Black Sherif… the list goes on.
In this edition of This Is Africa we bring you the atmosphere and the sounds, as well as checking out a new feature – a dedicated Amapiano stage where, perhaps surprisingly, there were almost as many female artists as there were males performing.
