DJ Edu meets Fanicko, a musician from Benin who's making a name for himself across west Africa.

Fanicko’s music may be very different from that of his superstar countrywoman Angelique Kidjo, but in some ways he is following in her footsteps. He’s only the second artist from Benin to reach a million views on YouTube, and he’s also forging a successful international career. As he tells This Is Africa, he’s found ways to connect with fans in nearby countries including Ivory Coast, Cameroon and the two Congos.
